The awards, he said, is not a substitution for what God has in store for His children when they get to heaven, it's only a way of saying “thank you” to the awardees for their wonderful work in promoting the gospel across the world, because through them, the glory of the Lord is covering the whole earth, as the waters cover the sea. In his words, “The LoveWorld Awards is not a reward but a celebration of distinguished partnership as we look forward to that glorious day when the Lord shall say to us “well-done, thou good and faithful servant.”
It was indeed an extraordinary time of glamour befitting for the outstanding partners as they were squired through the aisles to the magnificent platforms where crystal trophies, laurels and medals were presented to them.  It painted a picture of what to expect at that time of glory when all saints would appear before the Master to receive praise of Him.

A GLAMOROUS ASSEMBLAGE OF AWARD WINNERS
For the first time since the inception of IPPC, the LoveWorld Awards, which usually indicated the closing stages of the conference, began right from the beginning of the conference. Various categories of awards were taken during the sessions, thus corroborating the extent of growth recorded in the ministry in 2008.

The Awards, which is considered one of the greatest symbols of distinctions in Believers’ LoveWorld was to honor outstanding partners in the ministry whose impact led to the progress and advancement of the gospel all around the world. Citing the reasons for the award, Pastor Chris told the congregation that the award was necessitated by God's instructions that while those who do wrong be openly chastised, those who have done excellently in the house of God should also be openly recognized.
