Rhapsody Of Realities Free Distribution On Queen's Day In Netherlands

Every year since 1885, the Dutch people of Netherlands have celebrated Queen's Day, a national holiday to commemorate the birthday of the Queen of the Netherlands. A day specially set aside for national unity and "togetherness"; everyone looks forward to it because it allows "freemarket" where people are allowed to sell things in the streets.

The largest celebration of Queen's Day is in Amsterdam, capital of Netherlands. During the celebrations, several activities such as children's games, musical performances, and music concerts take place all over the city. People also dress in the orange colour, the royal colour of Netherlands.

This year, tens of thousands travelled into Amsterdam from all over the world for the Queen's Day celebrations and encountered something entirely different— partners of Rhapsody of Realities distributing Rhapsody of Realities through the Reach Out campaign in the city.

Celebrating With A Difference!
It was glorious, as the partners distributed 20,000 free copies of the devotional around the city. From the Dam Square, which lies in the historical centre of Amsterdam, they infiltrated the well-travelled streets of Damrak, Rokin, Nieuwendijk, Kalverstraat and Damstraat, distributing free copies of Rhapsody of Realities to passers-by and tourists.

Strategic Soul-winning
The free distribution exercise was however not in Amsterdam alone, but also in 5 other cities. Partners in all six cities dressed in the orange colour, not just to celebrate Queen's Day, but as a strategy to witness to the people, and it worked; several hundreds gloriously gave their hearts to Christ that day!

This brought to light what the Apostle Paul said in 1Corinthians 9:20-23 “And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain them that are under the law; To them that are without law, as without law ... that I might gain them that are without law.

To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men that I might by all means save some. And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.”

Coverage On National TV
The climax of the whole exercise came when a crew from the national TV interviewed the partners and went away with some footage of them in action as they distributed Rhapsody of Realities. Their activities during the Queen's Day celebrations had been very noticeable and the TV station featured them on the network news. That evening, almost every home in the Netherlands watched the partners on national TV doing what they know how to do best—spreading the gospel!
