Youth Conference with Pastor Chris
The future of
any society is in its youths, since, as it's commonly said, they're the leaders
of tomorrow. Hence, while still on their journey to the future, it's important
for them to be guided aright so they can arrive at their place of destiny. This
thought inspired the special three-day Youth Delegates Conference with Pastor
Chris, which had thousands of participants from Nigeria, United Kingdom,
Ireland, South Africa, Kenya, Ghana, and several other countries.
According to the man of God, the conference is
God's material to set the teeming youths that were in attendance on the right
course. It was an opportunity to strategically position them for the next phase
of leadership where, as influential people, they would be able to make positive
changes in their societies. Thus, for three days, they received insightful
teachings and were energized for success and inspired for greatness through the
Word. Excitedly, they savoured every moment of the conference, delighted at the
glorious impact it would have in their lives.
In his
welcome speech, the Director, Believers' LoveWorld Campus Ministry, Pastor
Afolabi Oketunji gave a concise overview of previous Youth Conferences and the
impact they've had in the lives of many around the world. He advised the
delegates to be prepared for a new and higher level in life as the conference
would transcend their expectations.
Excited at
the opportunity to be at the conference, Pamela from Malawi described the
conference as a special time to be loaded and equipped for maximum impact.In her words, “we've been strengthened with
divine courage to pursue God's dreams and fulfill his destiny for our lives!”
Mildred from South Africa referred to the conference as a reference point in
the lives of all the delegates: "Ours is a blessed generation because we have a coach and a mentor in Pastor Chris,
who's consistently teaching us the ways of success, victory and greatness
through the Spirit,” she expressed in very passionate and emphatic words.
Many expressed similar sentiments as they
testified to being lifted and divinely energized by the Word as Pastor Chris
ministered. Thus, their expectations and strong determination to be impacted
with God's Word and translate that impact to changing their world for the
better wasn't just met but surpassed.
Taking The Youths To The Future
At the LoveWorld Convocation Arena, venue of the conference, the atmosphere was
charged with divine power, and the holy aura so thrilling and exhilarating.
Thus the delegates, amidst joy and gratitude profusely worshiped and praised
the Lord, lifting their hearts to Him in love.
Declaring the Conference opened, Pastor Chris
informed the delegates that the conference was a prelude to a major World Youth
Conference scheduled to hold sometime soon. He urged them to take a hold of the
great future and destiny decided for them by God as revealed in His Word. He
challenged them further not to allow the failure and hardships around the world
condition them to thinking that the future is bleak: “don't let the darkness
drown your light” he admonished.
Seven Important Factors For Leadership
The heart of the conference was the very important teaching delivered by Pastor
Chris on seven indispensable factors for leadership and success. He gave an
in-depth account on how through God's Word, a leader can harness these factors
and channel them to change the world.
Not only were
the delegates inspired and energized by the Word, many also experienced the
healing power of the resurrected Christ as the man of God called out specific
cases of those who had been healed. Challenged to impact their world, the
delegates left the conference filled with the Spirit, and knowing they had received the divine elixir for
supernatural success in life.
