A Report on the December 2011 Communion Service with Pastor Chris

The monthly Communion Service with the man of God, Pastor Chris is a special meeting that holds every first Sunday of the month as thousands assemble in various locations around the world in anticipation for that special word of direction from the Lord for the new month.

As was the norm, thousands joined Pastor Chris in this unique monthly meeting from their various Church locations across the globe via the internet and satellite. The atmosphere in each of these venues was electrified with God’s presence as songs of praise and worship were sung during the meeting as the various congregations poured out their hearts not only in thanksgiving for the glorious month of November but also in great expectation for the month of December. 

PASTOR CHRIS LIVE

The meeting started in earnest first with the Pastor Chris Live Question and Answer Segment; a most inspiring session transmitted to the entire world (members and non-members) via Satellite and terrestrial stations every Sunday by 16:00hrs GMT. 

During this segment, the man of God took ample time to disambiguate the diverse questions that were sent in from the audience with answers from God’s Word; an enlightening segment it really was. The full question and answer section can be viewed here 

MVA CONTEST SEGMENT

During this segment, the man of God with Pastor Lanre Alabi alongside on set with him; spoke about the just concluded Most Valuable application contest for 2011. The man of God went further to say that applications entries would be further developed towards making them available to the churches via an MVA App Market.

DECEMBER: THE MONTH OF PRACTISING BEING FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT

Sharing the message for the month, Pastor Chris announced to the congregation that the month of December is our month of practicing being filled with the Spirit

Taking his reading from Eph 5:18 - And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; The man of God exhorted the teeming online audience about the practice of being constantly filled with the Spirit saying ‘This month of December, especially when you think of all the things that God did in our lives from January till November; the word that was spoken to us about that month, put all of these together and see where this takes you. Have a reflection. Write out all the themes of the previous months and see what God has added to your life. Every month that came didn’t kick out the previous one. It added to what you already had. It added to what God blessed you with… ‘

Pastor Chris also went further to outline the benefits of being filled with the Spirit. Some of these benefits are

·         The power of Revelation would increase in your life

·         Increase in the understanding of the word of God

·         Increased effectiveness in all endeavours

·         Greater foresight and deeper insight into anything

In concluding his exhortation, the man of God also said ‘Practice this and you would be more than ready for 2012. Be filled with the Spirit. Start training yourself to become a spiritual man. Become conscious that God wants you to be a Spiritual man. When you become a spiritual man, you operate at a very high level. From wherever you are, begin by speaking in tongues right now…’  With these words, Pastor Chris then led the audience in a session of speaking in tongues during which many were filled with the Spirit and started putting to work what they had just learnt from the man of God.

THE COMMUNION

Reading from 1 Corinthians 11: 23-24:

 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread; 24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me”, he gave the instruction “Go ahead and break the bread now”. 

Reading further after the breaking of the bread: 25 In the same manner He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood. This do ye, as oft as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.”  26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord’s death till He comes”, the man of God gave thanks for the cup “…we thank you Father for the blood of your Son Jesus that was shed for us for the remission of sins. We thank you for the forgiveness of sins in that we have in that blood”. And unanimously across the globe, the online congregation proceeded in taking the wine which signifies the precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, drinking it in faith.

He also declared further to the congregation as they took the cup This month as we practice being filled with the spirit, you would experience tremendous blessings like never before... The Lord would show you what it means to live the supernatural on a daily basis… You would discover that the blessings of God are abundantly supplied to us and I rejoice with you; Remember to honour those who bless you. Always give offerings in the house of God… if you have tithes and offerings which you owe, I ask to go and sum them up and give them. In the name of Jesus, this month of December would bring you upliftment because you are working by the Holy Ghost. A month that would bring you strength and courage because the word of God is doing this for you at this time. You are blessed in your health, blessed in your work, in your business and in everything you put your hands upon to do. I pray for your family that the glory of God would be revealed more in your family like never before. May God continually enlighten you in His word... None of your steps shall slide… You are going from glory to glory.” Halleluyah!
