A REPORT ON THE OCTOBER COMMUNION SERVICE WITH PASTOR CHRIS

The October edition of the monthly communion service with the man of God, Pastor Chris, commenced with the man of God declaring the service to be a special one. And laying much emphasis on the significance of this meeting, he posited “…the next few hours marks a destiny affecting moment for us as God’s Spirit has a Word for us’’.

As was the norm, thousands of Christ Embassy members joined Pastor Chris in this unique monthly meeting from their various Church locations across the globe via the internet and satellite. The atmosphere in each of these venues was electrified with God’s presence as songs of praise and worship were sung during the meeting.

PASTORCHRISLIVE Q & A SEGMENT
The service kicked off proper with the Q & A segment as Pastor Chris provided spiritual and incisive answers to varying questions sent in by the viewers worldwide.
While providing answers to the questions, the man of God shared some inspiring thoughts:

*God doesn’t respond to tears, he responds to faith.

*Christians who don’t go to church, don’t grow spiritually.

*God’s answers to our prayers come through His Word and by the Holy Spirit giving us wisdom to create the answers we desire for ourselves.

*Increasing in spiritual Knowledge (studying, hearing and listening to God’s word and participating in church where you are taught the word from the pulpit and through examples) is one of the ways to position one’s self to receive what God has made available to us 2 Peter 1:1-3.

REACH OUT CAMPAIGNS
Talking about the Reach-Out campaigns held in South Africa and Nigeria and the impact of these campaigns, Pastor Chris was full of thanks to the Partners of Rhapsody of Realities that made it all happen. Video clips from the campaigns were aired for all to have a glimpse of the wonderful experience.

PASTORCHRISLIVE ON YOOKOS
Admonishing all to take advantage of the prayer times on Yookos, Pastor Chris accentuated that “Prayer is more than making request or talking to God, it’s a fellowship, a communion with the father through the power of the Holy Ghost. Through prayer, your spirit is cultivated to receive from God; it is conditioned to receive God’s word in a way that it remains. Prayer forms the foundation for what God wants to do in our lives; especially praying in the Spirit which is the best way to commune with God’’.

THE WORD
Sharing from John 5:31-35, and emphasizing on the 35th verse which referred to John as a burning and a shining light “He was a burning and a shining light: and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light’’, Pastor Chris reiterated the theme for the year 2011 - Our Year As A Burning and A Shining Light - and asking the congregation if it has indeed been a year as a burning and a shining light from the commencement of the year till now, the man of God posited that if you were burning and shining as John was, others will rejoice in your light, that means you're giving light to others and they can bask in your light.

Reading also from Isaiah 60:1, ‘’ Arise, shine, for thy light is come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you’’ the man of God affirms the scripture as truth, a reality for the now.

Making reference to Isaiah 60:2 - ''For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people, but the Lord shall arise upon thee and his glory shall be seen upon thee'', Pastor Chris posed these questions to the people – “Have you heard about the economic problems around the world today? Have you heard about the distress of nations? Have you heard about the banks having problems and the nations that just can’t pay their debt? Are you aware of the businesses that are closing up? Can you feel what's happening to the world; the darkness that's coming on the nations of the world?

Quoting from the words of Jesus in Luke 21:25-26, Pastor Chris explained that these are all things to happen in the last days and they are happening already but here is what the Lord says...''but the Lord shall arise upon thee and His glory shall be seen upon thee''.

And encouraging the online congregation further, Pastor Chris stated “studying the Bible, many times, the nations of the world have had hardship. At one time, the Bible tells us how people were eating their own children, it was that bad. But remember this, every time there's economic hardship, every time that nations have had distress, every time they've gone through these terrible financial problems in their lives, God's people have triumphed and God showed us in His word how that happens and how it should happen”.
“When you hear of these things, never let your heart shake, never become troubled; the problems of the world are your opportunities. Remember that! Get challenged; get stirred in your heart. The Bible says ''when men are cast down, thou shall say there's lifting up'' Job 22:29. Never find yourself drowning with the world, you've been chosen out of the world, you don’t’ belong to the world. Don't let your heart become afraid for that's what Jesus said - ''Neither let your heart be afraid'' John 14:27”, the man of God continued.

“Don't say things are getting worse, what am I going to do? It's not because of you, it's because of them. God separated you from the world, you are not part of what is going on, He gave you another system to live by, He gave you new principles to live by.
Abraham was looking for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God - Heb 11:10. We have found that city, we are in that city and we are that city! That's the city that Abraham was looking for, a city that has foundations, principles to live by, principles from God. That's what Abraham was looking for. Remember in the days of Abraham, there was famine, there was trouble but Abraham had the principles of God locked in his spirit and he lived by those principles and things changed for Abraham, that’s why the Bible says ''Abraham was blessed in all things'' Gen 24:1. He was different and he was called the father of faith. The Bible says ''Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness'' Romans 4:3. All you have to do is believe. Remember the words of Jesus in Mark 5:36 ''...only believe''
Remember Jairus, he had a problem and needed help from Jesus, his daughter was dead and he was confused. All Jesus asked him was to only believe (Mark 5:36). And that's what I am saying to you today, ''only believe''!” expounded the man of God.

It was a loaded time of inspiration and enlightenment and the congregation listened with undivided attention as the man of God taught further from God’s word.
“When life looks dark and things seem impossible and difficult, and it looks like everything is going down, hold your head up high and believe. That's something you can do. You can't believe with your mind, the Bible shows us how to believe. Your mind may have different thoughts, depressing thoughts, arguing thoughts, confusing thoughts but refuse to give in to them instead believe with your heart. ''...with the heart man believes'' says the Bible (Rom 10:10)”.

And encouraging further, Pastor Chris continues “Do not let your heart be attacked by unbelief, fear, doubt and all the suggestions that satan may give to you, protect your heart with the word of God. Thoughts may come to your mind, doubt may come to your mind, but don't let it come into your heart. Use your heart as the instrument to believe. If you can believe God, anything is possible to you (Mark 9:23), and you would change circumstances! Where you were a failure, you become a success; where you were a loser, you become a winner.
Every day, proclaim ‘’Greater is He that’s in me than he that’s in the world’’, when you get up, you say “today is for me. Today I am a success because greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world”!
And maybe while you are saying that, fear may try to attack your mind, you keep saying greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world, and then you start meditating on the Word and as you do, faith will be stirred up in you. And when you renew your thinking, your mind will become charged with power and faith even as you make your faith proclamations. With faith proclamations, satan can't stop you! Let God’s Word grow mightily in your heart and the Word will prevail and prevail and prevail. Halleluyah!

SEASON OF PRODUCTIVENESS CONTINUES
And as the service progressed, the man of God postulated that we are still in our season of productiveness. “We are moving from glory to glory, producing results, producing more and more results. Something special about it is that you are going to use this month of October to make your faith proclamations and watch your words come to pass. Insist on who you are in Christ Jesus, proclaim who you are in Christ Jesus, insist on your rights, Remember, the man died for us, Jesus died for us , He gave us His life, He gave us everything. If He did, which He did, we have no reason to loose, we have no reason to fail, we have no reason to be afraid; the whole world is ours because we are the seed of Abraham. And so you're making progress this week, next week and throughout this month you are recording progress. Watch your progress every week this month” Pastor Chris admonished excitedly.

Going on, the man of God exhorted “…become conscious of the achievements you make each week by the power of the Holy Spirit, write them down. You are an achiever by the power of the Holy Spirit because God is working through you, you are a child of God and an achiever, you're a champion, and you are winning and winning and winning!”

THE COMMUNION
The communion segment began with the man of God sharing from the Gospel of St John 6:50-55.

“His body was broken for us and we commemorate His broken body every time we break bread. We signify what He did for us; His life that was poured out for us. If a man eats of this bread, he lives forever, not subject to sickness or disease. As we eat, commemorating his broken body, remember, He that eats shall live forever” Pastor Chris declared.

“Drinking the cup is like drinking His life which was poured out for us. The cup is medicine in our body; it has curative ability, produces strength and passes out diseases and infirmities. There is no medicine in the world that has as much power as the blood because the anointing surges through us as we drink”.

And after such inspiring words, the communion was served with several thousands participating from around the world.

As the most exhilarating service came to a close, the man of God, Pastor Chris, sent the assemblage forth into the new month, declaring the blessings of God into the lives of everyone present.

As posited by the man of God at the beginning of the meeting, indeed the few hours spent in fellowship with God’s Spirit and the Word proved to be destiny affecting moments as the congregation left for their homes in cheerful spirits, knowing fully well that they were set to achieve great things this October.
