ENDURE CRITICISM ON YOUR WAY TO THE TOP

I’ve heard some ministers say, “I don’t like criticisms at all.” If you are in that group, it means you are not ready for the real work; the miraculous. The moment miracles start in your ministry, you’ll start hearing things like,”Hmmn! Who does he think he is?”. “Where does he get his power?”.”The miracles are fake!”

The measure of a man’s strength

The worth of a man is measured by the greatness of his adversaries. You measure a man’s importance by the power of the resistance he faces. You see, the man that God will use will collide with powerful forces because the message in his mouth will be resisted. That’s when God will eventually require him to make decisions that might make him stand alone. God’s confidence in any man is measured by the kind of decisions that he makes. God can dare you to make decisions that are not popular or to take steps that stir the nest of others.

Be sure of one thing though, God will never ask you to do something stupid. If God tells you to do it, you will come out victorious in the end. There may be a lot of heat but if you’re tough enough, you will still be standing when the fire burns out. Hallelujah! Show me the man who has enemies and I’ll show you a successful man. A hard statement but true nonetheless! Nobody needs to announce you when you don’t amount to a heap of beans. Nobody will criticize you when your car is smoking like a chimney all over town. The reason they don’t criticize you is because they haven’t noticed you. When they notice you, they’ll criticize you for sure!

 

Get ready to catch some flak!

Several years ago, Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin talked about how the Lord appeared to him and told him that He was blessing him with the healing ministry and wanting him to reach the world with it, but he began to reject it. The Lord then asked him why he didn’t want the healing ministry, and Brother Hagin replied, “Lord, there’s too much criticism attached to the people in the healing ministry.” Then the Lord said to him, “I sent you, so go and don’t be worried about their criticisms, because you would give account to me and not to them.”

So when the people around you say nasty things about you don’t be angry or mad at them, don’t even reply your critics. Just smile! God has made you a city that is set upon a hill; you cannot be hidden (Matthew 5:14). He wants you to display for the entire world to see.

It’s not necessary to run from criticisms. Besides you wouldn’t be the first to be criticized. Remember that David was criticized by his brothers after he was anointed by Samuel. Eliab, his eldest brother criticized him when he first showed up at the war front, but David was unperturbed by his criticism. By this attitude he was able to fulfill his destiny by killing Goliath (1 Samuel 17:42-50). Even the Lord Jesus was criticized by the scribes, Pharisees and Sadducees because of His miracles. So you see you shouldn’t worry about your critics neither should you be disturbed that you are the devil’s target. It’s at that time that God becomes your Jehovah Nissi – the lord your banner. Hallelujah! Right in the midst of the problem you can say like David, “…now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me…” (Psalm 27:6). Count it all joy for you are a victor at every account.
