FELLOWSHIP WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is exactly like Jesus. He does not receive power from God. In fact, He is the POWER of God! The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth which proceeds from the Father. He is no less than the Father nor is He less than Jesus. He proceeds from the Father. If you went to heaven, you wouldn’t find the Holy Ghost outside the Father, for He is in the Father.

What’s His Name?

When you call the name "Jesus", the Holy Spirit goes into action. He will have no right to function in the earth the way He does, except if He came in the Name of the One that had the right to the earth. Jesus bought the whole world. The Holy Spirit has come to the earth in the Name of Jesus. He takes the place of Jesus here on earth. He is here to do whatever Jesus would have done. He is not less powerful than Jesus. In fact He is the One Who empowered Jesus. The Bible says in Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power; who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” 

The Spirit of God has emotions!

Yes He has! The Spirit of God has a mind, a will and emotions. That’s why He can be grieved, wounded or quenched as indicated in Ephesians 4:30.

Imagine that someone you loved so much and hadn’t seen in a while suddenly showed up, and out of excitement you ran towards him or her to give the person a big welcome. Then such a person said or did something that hurt you or just completely ignored you. You must have felt quenched and your excitement gradually faded. Just like a person, the Holy Ghost has such emotions and desires the same warm embrace that you would have expected in that kind of a situation. The Holy Spirit is always zealous of doing good things in your life every day. Hence He expects you to respond to Him with love and warmth too. So relate with Him like your best friend because that is what He is to you.

Get personal with Him today

You can get the best out of your life when you recognize these truths about the Holy Ghost. Acknowledging Him and relating with Him based on the knowledge of these truths will greatly revolutionize your life in ways you cannot imagine. Make Him the love of your life the centre of your universe and your overall confidante and you will be positioning yourself to receive the very best of Him.
