People get a lot of encouragement to pray, but a lot of times they don’t know how to. Its one thing to tell someone to pray and to pray hard, but it’s another thing to let them know how to pray in such a way they can have the desired results and make the necessary impact.
In this concise, yet comprehensive watch tower on prayers, Pastor Chris puts paid to the wrong mindsets, doctrines and practices that have clogged the wheels of your prayer life and opens to you an effective prayer life in the New Testament.
Watch tower teaches you dynamic principles of effective prayer, but also ignites a passion for prayer within you. The principles are simple, the results guaranteed – a life full of joy and peace as you receive answers to your prayers…always. |
Praying in tongues is an effective means of spiritual communication with the Lord; it transcends the natural mind or intellect (1 Corinthians 14 v 14). When you speak in tongues, you’re stirred; the anointing wells up like currents from your spirit. That anointing works on your mind such that you’re transported to the higher realms of glory.
Our opening scripture tells us that the one who speaks in tongues “helps himself grow spiritually”; which means, for you to experience serious spiritual growth, you must speak in other tongues consistently.
Besides, when you pray in other tongues, you build your faith: “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost” (Jude 1 v 20). Thus, for the believer, speaking in other tongue is not an option; it’s a necessary requirement for your spiritual growth and upliftment.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Consider the Lord Jesus: He always received answers to His prayers. He never once prayed in vain. When we pray we should not expect to have any less than He. That’s because He’s given us the authority to use His Name. When we speak in His Name, it’s as authoritative and effective as Jesus Himself speaking to the Father.
Sadly though, too many Christians don’t know this because they don’t spend enough time to study the Word. So they don’t enjoy a personal relationship with God.
We need to know God as our Father and our Friend; One who’s not far away and can be trusted. If God is a stranger to you, then you can’t trust Him; that’s the reason for doubt. But when you know Him, you’ll have faith in Him, and when you have faith in Him, you’ll trust Him. |
